Since 1964, Viewpoint’s students have celebrated Great Pumpkin Day and each year they eagerly anticipate this beloved Halloween tradition. The week leading up to the big day was filled with several activities, from musical chairs, limbo, Halloween costume contests, and even the famous faculty mummy wrap contest!

On the morning of Tuesday, October 31, students from the Primary and Lower Schools celebrated Great Pumpkin Day by wearing their costumes to school and enjoying a campus-wide trick-or-treating adventure. Students, parents, faculty, and staff  then gathered at the Paul Family Athletic Center (PFAC) to watch TK-5 students perform at the annual Great Pumpkin Day Assembly. 

"Our theme for the year is 'imagination,' and today is a wonderful example of that," said Mark McKee, Head of School at Viewpoint. "On Great Pumpkin Day, we celebrate the idea that you can go wherever your dreams take you."

The event concluded with a lively performance by SkyeChristy, during which students enthusiastically joined in singing along to a selection of classic Halloween-themed tunes, including favorites like "Monster Mash" and "Ghost Busters."
