HOURS
Full day, 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., with a supervised, daily, play date option until 3:00 p.m. at no additional cost.

The TK program runs on the same schedule as our Kindergarten program. Families with older children have a single drop-off and pick-up. Children may be dropped off as early as 7:30 a.m.

CALENDAR
The TK program follows Viewpoint’s regular calendar.

CLASS SIZE
Limited to 16 children, staffed by two full-time early-education trained teachers.  

Qualified applicants for whom there is no space will be placed in a wait pool.  If no seats open, families will be invited to update their application for consideration to the following year’s Kindergarten pool.

AGE CUTOFF
Your child must turn four years old no later than August 1.

A copy of your child’s birth certificate is required with the application for verification purposes.

YOUNG 5s?
Young Fives (Children who turn five in the summertime and who typically represent the youngest children in any Kindergarten cohort) are not only welcome, but may be exceptionally well suited to our TK program, which provides a longer on-ramp to Kindergarten.  

Sometimes in applying to our Kindergarten program, Young Fives are able to demonstrate through their assessments the readiness and maturity we are seeking that will enable them to find success in our program, but not always. The screenings of Young Fives may indicate that they should wait a year before Kindergarten.

Until now, we had nothing to offer these parents, other than to invite them to apply again in the future.  However, with the addition of our TK program, we can now offer qualified Young Fives full admission to Viewpoint into the TK if we believe there is overall potential for fit with Viewpoint.
