The Birds follows the exploits of two disillusioned humans who are fed-up with the politics, plagues, and pettiness of human society and flee to the kingdom of the birds. Once there, they convince the King of the Birds to embark on an insane scheme to steal power from the gods and turn the birds’ land into a powerful utopia. Playwright Don Zolidis brings Aristophanes’ classic satire into the 21^st century, creating a madcap world of hilarity replete with wise-cracking birds, scheming humans, inept deities, and modern allusions…with a little song and dance thrown in for good measure!
